NA-Z8 Underwater Housing for Nikon Z8

For underwater photography with the Nikon Z8, the Nauticam NA-Z8 is the most reliable and user-friendly housing available. Drawing on the successful and extensively tested designs of the NA-Z6/7 and Z9 housings, the NA-Z8 embodies Nauticam's Mission Control design philosophy, which places essential controls within easy reach of the reinforced molded handles. Nikon Z8 Specifications

F and Z Mount Compatible

The NA-Z8 utilizes the N120 Port System for Z-mount full-frame lenses. However, the NA-Z8 is also designed to accommodate the use of F-mount lenses, thanks to the FTZ adapter. This allows the same port configuration as found on an F-mount DSLR system like the NA-D6 or NA-D850.

The NA-Z8 housing is equipped with convenient lens release buttons for both F and Z mounts, making lens changes a breeze, regardless of the lens platform. You can quickly and easily switch between different lenses without having to remove the camera from the housing, except when installing or removing the FTZ adapter.

Mission Control

As is tradition, Nauticam followed suite with their Mission Control philosophy. Essential controls are placed within easy reach of the ergonomic handles and easy setup means more time in the water and less time working on your rig. Within easy reach of the ergonomic left handle are finger-actuated levers for the customizable Fn3 and Image Protection button as well as the Image Delete. A double thumb lever triggers the PLAYBACK and DISP buttons. On the right side is full access to the direction pad, zoom in and zoom out for checking focus and a double thumb lever for the AF-ON and shutter control. All controls are located within reach of your fingertips allowing you to make on the fly adjustments without having to take your hands off your system.

HDMI Output

The NA-Z8 is a versatile hybrid shooting platform that is equally adept at capturing both stills and videos. It can be effortlessly configured to accommodate external monitors and recorders, thanks to its M24, M14 and M16 accessory bulkheads. The M24 bulkhead supports both HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 connections, ensuring seamless compatibility with external monitors and recorders.

The NA-Z8 has been designed with the N120 Port System at its core, which provides support for an extensive range of F-Mount and Z-Mount lenses, with a choice of acrylic and optical-glass port options. Nauticam has also incorporated premium professional water-contact optics, which offer unparalleled underwater image quality. When paired with the Nikon Z 14-24mm lenses, the WACP-2 delivers a breathtaking rectilinear 140º field-of-view, with full zoom-through capability and an impressively natural-looking image that surpasses that of a standard rectilinear lens and dome port combination.

Not only are you covered for shooting wide angle but Macro as well. The SMC-1 and SMC-2 provide the best macro performance available, with two different magnification strengths, suitable for a wide variety of macro subject sizes.
