Tidal prediction is, at best, an inexact endeavor. It relies on field measurements, data
collection and calculations that can be subject to any number and manner of errors.
The predictions presented here do not incorporate the effects of tropical storms, El Niño,
seismic events, subsidence, uplift, or changes in global sea level.
The sum of all these variables can contribute to a rather large level
of predictive uncertainty.
DO NOT USE THESE RESULTS FOR NAVIGATION!
NOAA and similar agencies in other countries can provide you with certified tide predictions if that is what you need.

This project bears a great debt to Jtides by
Paul Lutus
(also the author of Apple Writer, one of the best-selling word processing programs of all time.)
In turn, JTides credits the XTide Project
maintianed by David Flater.
Heartfelt thanks to Paul for JTides, and for the concept of 'careware', and to all of those nameless individuals who make this endeavor possible.
Historic home of Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams, the island was relatively isolated until 1912, when it was connected to the Florida mainland via the Overseas Railway extension of Henry M. Flagler's Florida East Coast Railway (FEC).
The Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 destroyed much of the railroad and killed hundreds of residents. e U.S. government then rebuilt the rail route as an automobile highway, completed in 1938, which became an extension of United States Highway 1, now called the Overseas Highway.
